The bottom line is you don't have to support your fellow hunter's choice of weapon but you do have to support your fellow hunter and his right to have that choice !!!!!!!!

I joined because there seems to be a lot of information here. I like how there are a lot of separate forums, not just a bunch of unrelated things grouped together.

I also spend a LOT of time online every day, and I get sick of only frequenting my regular forums. This is a nice change of pace.

I also like how everyone is from the same area so everyone can relate to each other. I'm on other forums that have people from all over the globe and while it is nice to hear different perspectives, etc. it's nice to be able to read about "Minnesota" things.

And, no one can deny, the smilies here rock.

The wealth of experience and knowledge we all get from one another and especailly the staff members is too high to count.  Weather it be cooking, shooting, archery, dogs, bla bla bla, we got it here.  The personalities of everyone keep me severly addicted.  Im working out of town with no internet at work so I feel like im going into withdrawl all day long.  If there's a 12 step program for quitting MNO, I want NO part of it -- "Hi my name is Don and I surf MNO."  "HI DON!"    ::drunks:: There, thats more like it.   ;D
If ya don't know where ya are, go back to da beginnin.

Hello, my name is Renee and I am also an MNO addict!! I first came here for the fishing reports, then I ended up staying for sooooo many other reasons.  I have met some wonderful fun people here, and have enjoyed every minute of it!  I come here at least once a day, if not more!  And when I am away too long, I think I have withdrawls!!  It is by far the best fishing/hunting site that I have ever been too!  I don't plan on going anywhere else, MNO gives me everything I need and more!  So thanks MNO- YOU ROCK!!  GirlGuide

I was referred here by my good buddy Outdoors Junkie in March of 2006, as he thought I would enjoy the hunting forums. I have been a deer hunter for the past 18-20 years. Well, like everyone else here, I got addicted and kept coming back more and more often until I couldn't function without being on MNO at least a couple of times a day.

I was asked to join the MNO Staff in March of this year and have enjoyed every moment here on MNO...well almost every moment.... ;)

::whyclick:: It was because that bonehead posted the addee and recommended it on another great site. I stayed because after a few nights of just  browsing i found that the people here are down to earth and will give good advice or kid around. What ever you want. For those that come here and never post you are really missing out on what this site is about, This is truly a outdoors persons, family site. The one thing  I haven't figured out yet is how to keep up in the chat room and keep everything spelled or typed rite.
Come on in,post, and join in at the chat room.Do not deine yourself.

I joined because this site has more info, etc. than most others I have frequented. Use to love the DNR Forum until that got taken down (for some lame excuses IMO). Great bunch of people here.

Both Bonehead and Harold suggested I visit quite a while back, and I recently realized I had saved the site under favorites in a folder I don't normally use.  Came back for a peek, and decided to hang around.

Oh alright- I'll tell ya how I got here:  ;)

I was referred to MNO by iceman after becoming frustrated with "other sites" and the way they treated "newbies".  It seemed that if you didn't know someone personally, fit in the clique' you weren't likely to get much information or replies to your posts.  So I can here and haven't looked back!  After some time here I was offered the staff position, and all I can say is "Look at me now Ma!"  ::rockon::

I think what people will find here is a bunch of GREAT people just like them who share many of the same interests!  There is no clique's to belong to, no discrimination towards new people, or anyone!  If there is info to be shared-it is, and all questions will be answered-or at least attempted to be answered.  And above all it's the funloving atmosphere and camaraderie at MNO that makes it a daily stop for many people!   Not to mention the only family oriented forums type site out there!  Where else can kids sign up and join the "Next Generation" and talk to other kids who share the same interests?

I wouldn't be here if I didn't believe in MNO and the outstanding members we have!  I sincerely mean that!  So that's what brought me to MNO, and that is what keeps me here.  Being staff here is just a bonus!  (Staff positions are unpaid & voluntary-in case you wondered)
