I have a friend who was up at the lake this weekend. Talked to him today and he had some depressing news for me. Said he watched a few nets being pulled out this morning with some tons of fish, really big ones as well.

It's been happening for years and years but every spring its hard to swallow.

This really sucks! Every year this happens, but every year it gets harder to understand.

I remember a few years ago on opener, we were sitting in the resort bar and talking with the owner of theresort, he said he has been on the lake for something like over 30 years.

He was telling me a story about how the netting works on Mille Lacs, he said the local tribe doesn't even do the netting, they sublease it out to another tribe from Wisconsin. Not sure if this is stll accurate news, but it was a few years ago.

When I heard this it really pissed me off, unbelievable how greedy some people can become.

Anyone ever hear this story before or know if it's still like this?
