Wednesday 6/6 report.
Fished with Jeff Berg the president of the Des Planes Lunker Busters Club and his partner Harry. I had already planed on the area we were going to fish the hardest, but it was not an early morning spot. So, we decided work the golf course area plan "B" for largemouth for a while. If you can find the new growth curly cabbage you'll find the largemouths holding in the area.

After working plan "B" succesfully, we went to plan "A" on the north shore and the smallies were feeding as scheduled. If you think the price of gas is to high just buy some leeches. If your willing to spend the dough they are working great on the smallies. We only had to fish 3 spots today since the action was great and should last for the next two weeks. After that it's out to the deep water structure for me.

I called and cancelled my Thursday morning and afternoon clients due to the high winds.

See ya on the water, Lee

For the supreme test of a fisherman is not how many fish he has caught, not even how he has caught them, but what he has caught when he has caught no fish.

3 weeks ago I bought a pound for a mere $ 29.00 a pound ::hittingself::

When I head up north in July I stop and pick up 4 lbs from the Bait Box in Superior @ $ 9.50 per lb to bring home.
