STARBUCK - Minnewaska Bait, Larry Jensen, Hwy 29 near the Starbuck Marina (320-239-2239)

The sunfish are biting well, small leeches or waxies are working for them.  For the nicer ones, move a little deeper, try in 10 to 12 feet of water with a slip bobber.  On the south side, about 1  miles from Starbuck, the crappies are biting.  Anchor out in 15 feet of water and fish about 5 feet off the bottom with crappie minnows and slip bobber.  For bass, try spinners or jumbo leeches in the bull rushes in the morning and move into the deeper water as the day goes on.  The northerns are biting on sucker minnows under a bobber at the creak mouths around the lake.
