Im leaving tonight to go way up North for 10 days with my husband, our 3 kids and 1 niece and 1 nephew.  We plan on doing a lot of fishing, playing in the water, relaxing, and maybe having some cocktails every now and then....hhhmmm...Cant wait, it will be nice to just have NOTHING we have to do for a little over a week.  No phones, no baseball, no soccer, no bible school...just a lot of hanging out, catching frogs and turtles and using a lot of mosquito spray and sun block I am sure.  Anyway, I hope you all have a happy and safe 4th of July.  See ya when we get back!   ::fishing::  gg

We will more than likely get together with some friends and attend one of the area parades which is a annual tradition, end up at our place or a friend's and grill some steak and burgers up, then head out to watch the fireworks over the water at a neighboring town.   ::rockon::

Goin to White Bear Lake to watch fireworks then going back to my sister in laws house.

Here's a funny story.  2 or 3 years ago at White Bears fireworks, we were walking down to the beach with moments before the show started.  We were walking in single file between the crowd.  This is my family of 5, my sister in laws family, and a bunch of friends.  Well I turned to talk to someone then turned back around and whoever I was following was gone and I didn't see anyone eles.  So I turned back around to talk to that person and they were gone.  They zigged when I zagged and I got completely separated from this huge group.  I looked for them during the entire show and never saw any of them.  When the show ended, I just walked home where we were all reunited.  Weird huh?

We use to watch the fireworks on Whitebear Lake on the beach near Mahtomedi.  Last time was about 5 years ago.  Easy to get turned around in a crowd.

Spending the day on Lake Waconia, then watching the fire works there.  The wife's family has a place on the lake.   Busy day on the water but normally pretty fun.
I hope the fireworks are better this year.  2 years ago they were horrible, last year was a little better but still not great.....kinda left you wondering when the finale was coming....it just never did.   ???

Will be on the St. Criox all day in the speedboats with wife and friends.  ::cheers:: We make our way up to Stillwater by dark for the fireworks show.  Those boomers echo up and down the river valley.

Hopefully we will have calm winds and clear skies.  That makes for a nice trip back to Hastings at midnight.

Im gonna stay around town, maybe start a tax payers revolt or even a revolution against lousy and crooked politicians. Might pillage a few local villages, possibly wrestle a few bears and if I have the time I might even do a little fishing. THEN about 9pm, I am gonna watch the fireworks

Hey Gogetter, Be sure to get some good pictures of her holding a fish.  I'd love to see that.  The kids would think its a hoot.  Hope you all have a great 4th.  We'll be at Jodi's house.
BE SAFE!!
