So has anyone seen any fawns yet? It seems that every doe in my area has a giant pregnant belly. They are getting really big but have not seen any little ones yet. I hate when I spook them and they run! It doesn't look like they should be running....oh well, I think they will be alright. Looking forward to hopefully seeing some young around the yard. In anticipation I have been keeping the dog on a short leash, especially at night.

Just got back from my buddie's cabin up Nort and we didn't see any fawns but I saw a set of the smallest deer hoof prints I've ever seen.  We only saw a few deer total -- and a porkapine too.

No fawns yet, I'm just starting to see Baby Geese and Racoons though.

Fawns should come any day.  This spring is a lot like last year (warmth wise) and we saw one memorial day weekend in Grand Rapids last year.  It sure seemed like days if not hours old as it could not even stand yet.

I saw 2 fawns today by the St Croix River, both in different areas. The first one was allready losing her spots and the 2nd was tiny and could barely walk.

Saw the smallest fawn I've ever seen in my life -- including pictures and such.  This thing was fully spotted and was having trouble getting away from me.  I was pulling into one of the parking lots here at the King Plant in Bayport.  Anyway it tried to run and stumbled. Then ran up a pile of dirt on the edge of the lot only to do a face plant about 1/4 of the way up.  So then the little feller wandered off away from me and the dirt pile and seemed to stagger a bit.  No mamma in sight and kinda skinny.  Hope he finds his way back home.

My dad was up at his cabin this past weekend and had a doe and two fawns come behind his cabin this past weekend snacking on the corn.  He also had another doe come out for some snacking...
