we finaly got our houseboat on the water last friday...YEE-HAW!!

she ran ok, a little backfireing through the carb. more like it was coughing.
did it pretty regular, but it ran good enough for me to check the rest of the ships functions.

my brother came up with his wife and son and we went swimming off the boat in this 90+ degree weather we had.
man did that water feel good.

after the second day and a little adjustment to the points, and she was running much better than the previous day.
now all I gotta do is get a good power prop.
that speed boat prop is killing me. can't even get the rpm's over 1000.

I figured out how to use and empty the head...way cool.
now just a simple water line repair and the running water will be in full opperation too.

I will work on the refridgerator next, as it leaks gas out of the thermostat valve....not good.

the paint for the hull has been delayed because somewhere along the shipping route, the pallet got dropped and the containers were cracked and leaking.
new order should be in during the next coming week sometime.

on sunday we had our own rednecks yacht club.
scroungie was one of the first to bail off the top deck!

his big sister finaly jumped off on day two.
this was a very big step for a kid who was scared to death of swimming in water over her head.
I'm very proud of her!

it was also my nephew sam's first time swimming.
here's one of him and his dad.

I have it moored at a dock at williams narrows resort on big cutfoot, right in the narrows.
the owners have really hooked us up.
they have a bar just a stones throw from the dock, with burgers and pizza's.
that right up my alley!

I can hardly wait to get out there on sunday

All them people on one boat and not a single tangled line? Now how's that work? ???

I was just thinking as I drove home yesterday... "I wonder if Dave ever got his houseboat out?"... now I know!

Looks like a ball!

Good Luck!

Looks like a fun time Dave! Congrats on getting the boat in the water and running. I bet the kids had a blast jumping off into the water.  ::cheers::
