So what did everyone do this weekend?...myself, I watched/listened to the Twins lose horribly all weekend, re-fletched a couple dozen arrows, did a little maintenance on the boat, laundry :( :-[ and continuously watched the weather to see if there was going to be any kind of break in the rain so I could get out and catch a few crappies. I did manage to get out for awhile and throw the ball around with the boys Sunday evening after dinner, but what a crappy weekend. And to top it all off, now I have to mow the grass. >:( ;)
Here's to a long life and a merry one.
A quick death and an easy one.
A pretty girl and an honest one.
A cold pint-- and another one!

rain on and off all weekend here.
trapped a few shiners, but found that the heavy run was during the schmeldt run.
i managed about three dozen, maybe four.
froze, and bagged smelt by the dozen, for bait.
checked the creeks for suckers and found lots of them, but as of yesterday, it seems they are nearing an end of the run as well? sad thing is, sucker spearing doesn't begin until today, may 1st.
bombed around on the net quite a bit.
went fishing down on the river with the kids off shore. two northerns, three perch and a hog dogfish (caught on video).
i am going to work on two things this week.
canning schmeldt sardines, and the interior of the crestliner.
i will take pics of that so you all can see the before and after.
this will be a big water cruiser.
i know we needed the rain, but can we have our sun back?
take a kid hunting and fishing!!
