Well like i said above the fish were biting big time just we had to try a different lake to find them. This time we went to Balsam Lake which is right next to Centuria also. We were fishing in 6-8 feet of water using the red crappie delights by JB lures. We set the bobber at about 4-5 feet then we casted it out and slowly reeled in the line and the crappies would just smack the lure. We never had to use bait or anything. It was great. We kept two limits of crappies as you can see we had 3/4 of a 5 gallon bucket full of them. The size ranged from 9.5"-12" so it was lots of fun plus i got to let my little sister catch a lot of crappies herself so it was a good time just watching her. She liked to net the crappies more than anything though. I also fished on Long Lake for bass just off the dock for a little while screwing around. There is about a 7-8 lb bass under the dock he comes back every year. I tried every bass lure in my tackle box to get him to bite. I even tried fly fishing for him and he didnt want anything to do with my lures. I tried going to the pontoon dock and casting to the fishing boat dock i went out in the little boat and casted in to the dock nothing. I am starting to think he is a dummy bass down there tied to the dock but then again he swims around once in a while. Here are some pics of the trip.

Looks like a good time thanks for sharing.

I have a Wisconsin license this year so I may make a few trips over there. My Dad used to take us to Deer Lake located past St. Croix Falls. We used to hammer the crappies there. Giant muskies in that lake as well.

Ya that lake is well known for its muskies. There used to be lots of them and lots of size but its not as good as it used to be but still a decent muskie lake. There are very nice crappies in there sometimes its just hard to find them. But they are in there
