  • Deer hunting/waking up in the morning.
I am usually in my stand 1 hour to 1 1/2 before sunrise.  It is too hard to sleep with all those deer running around.
Up by 4:30ish.
I can't wait!

Up at 5:45

In my stand by 6:45

Legal Shoot 7:24

Sunrise 7:54

I figure the earlier the better. I want things quiet on my land when all the hunters enter their land that borders mine so they will hopefully push the deer into the quiet safe comfort of my area and then i'll blast'em happy2.gif

I used to go in before daylight but after bumping, jumping and seeing so many deer in the dark on the way in, I now wait until it's light enough to shoot and still hunt my way in.
***I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.***

I usely get in stand at least 30 min before shooting time, take a nap until 8 or so, have breakfast, take a nap, have lunch and by then it's time for another nap. iI have trip wires on all the trails around my stand so if a deer comes it sets off a buzzer in my headphones. Hey if fisherman can have fish alarms why can't i have a deer alarm? :ROTFLMAO: Be safe guys, we want everyone back in at the end of season.

When I hunt my parents land I am normally up around 4-430, on the road to the woods by 515, at the woods by 545 and in my stand by 615. I like to get there early enough to take my time walking in as quietly as possible and then things calm down around me before all the yahoos that hunt along the border of our land come stomping in and driving through the fields. They always end up pushing the deer along the edges onto our land, it never fails.   ;)  happy2.gif
