I had a mess of leaves collect around the Crestliner before It went out in back and my two youngest wanted to jump in leaves. I debated raking or using the Ryobi blower that I picked up in Eden Prairie on garbage day from a well to do home across from a new home we were building. The small blower worked well to clean everything from the grass but it was slow at pushing the pile as it grew larger. So I started using the rake. The rake seemed to move the big piles quicker. I was debating which was less work as it seemed about 50/50. I grabbed one of my favorite Michelobs while debating the better of the two processes and realized that you need two hands to rake and only one to use the blower. Guess what won over. I would suggest to those who try to remove leaves from the lawn to get a blower and relax a little

I have one heck of a pile of leaves in my yard. I also have a brand new blower that has never been used. Sounds like a weekend job between hunts happy2.gif

Thats one heck of a good experiment taken care of for us.  Now we know why blowers are better than rakes.   ::cheers::

One word of caution.  If you have a shoulder strap on your blower - use it.  If you let it hang while you hold it up by hand, then the strap falls by the muffler and melts like the wicked witch in a shower.

Thanks Kenhuntin for doing this in depth experiment.

Yo.. Kenhuntin were you sayin that the one handed operation of a blower enables you to enjoy a beverage of yer choice...? Thats nearly pure genius!  Who cares at that point if a rake moves the volume at this point!  Its a matter of quality not quantity if ya can do any work beer in hand, eh?!!! :ROTFLMAO: ::cheers::      -thunderpout happy2.gif
