  • Deer hunting/waking up in the morning.
I shot my first deer with a bow last night.  What an experience.  I was so excited I almost forgot to look through my peep.
I got in my stand and got settled, did 3 estrus bleats, about 3 minutes later a buck and a doe came into sight.  He was walking right to me with her following.  He scented a doe-in-heat pad I had out and was walking right for it, when she saw me.  She had eyes on me for about 30 seconds, turned and started walking the other way. He was right under my stand at the time.  He saw her walking away turned and started following her.  I wacked him about 15 yds away (quartering away).  I knicked the spine and took out a lung.  He did not move a inch and droped!

That is awesome!!!!

I remember my first deer with abow like it was yesterday and then I remember my second deer with a bow like it was today! I still have not gotten the third deer. I have been waiting for the perfect deer and the perferct situation. Passed many, maybe I should start shooting.

Anyways, congrats and hopefully there will be many more!!!
