Jiffy Ice Drills has another new product for 2008. It's the new 2 hp STX Pro,its, lighter, faster and more powerful compared to last years Stealth STX.

The new STX features a HTT Transmission (High torque transmission) with a heavy duty clutch and it also has new style cushioned compact handles and throttle control.

I really like the compact handles, it'll make it a lot easier to drill holes in a hard house if you don't have the icehouse handles.

Those ice house handles look nice. I wonder if I could just bend mine like that? ;D

Never had an issue with mine and I am out all year in all sorts of weather.  2/3 pumps of the primer and a pull.  Actually last year when I went to start it in the fall I realized my brother left gas in it from the previous year.  3 pumps of the primer two pulls and it ran like a champ.

I would also like to add that it has run even better the past two years when I have run Ams Oil.  Lot cleaner / less smoke from the 3hp 10" monster on the ice!!!

You can get handle kits, even for the older models....Im still using my 3hp Jiffy, its like 20 yrs old, it always starts....even after sittin in the garage all year, let alone on the ice for a few hrs.  A good tip: use unoxygenated fuel in your auger, and use real isopropal alchol or seafoam in em and they'll always start!     -thunderpout :happy1:
