why wouldn't you take your dog to the vet and get THE RIGHT DOSE and the right antibiotic?  Are you 100% certain that tetracycline will kill this bacteria?

Some antibiotics will not treat certain strains of illnesses.  Plus if it doesn't fully rid him of the infection, it will be twice as hard and expensive treating an anti-biotic resistant illness.

Your dog deserves an office visit.  I'm one of the most conservative guys there is when it comes to taking an animal to the vet, and yet I wouldn't hesitate too in this matter...

Hope the pooch heals up!

Good Luck!

Ken

i already talked to my vet annd yes tetracycline will cure most strains  of kennelcough its the same meds that thhey would give , just labled different ... and if i thought my dogs life was in danger he would see a vet !
in rare cases has kennel cough ever been life threating ! most of the time the animal will pass it naturally .
