right now, I am looking for photos to add to the photo page.
got any good ones?

Looks like it's really coming together. The boys and I may have to come up for a weekend.
Here's to a long life and a merry one.
A quick death and an easy one.
A pretty girl and an honest one.
A cold pint-- and another one!

Joe, I insist!
c'mon on up!
bring the boys!
If they can catch fish as well as they shoot clay pigeons, you'll be done in no time ;D

the site is coming along, but today I noticed a glitch that I'm sure wasn't there before.
it's sabotage I say!!
a simple glitch, but that doesn't mean there's a simple answer.
it's got to be pretty darned simple for me to figure it out :rotflmao:

drop me a pm when ever you like.

Joe,
no the houses are not out yet.
I planned on going out tomorrow to check the ice, but Goose came over and we got up to our eyeballs gutting the four man and totaly remodeling it.
new paneling new bunks, new countertop, 110v hookup and light.
new direct vent heater.
so, I may make it out, I may not. I know two days ago, nobody was driving anything out bigger than an atv or snowmobile.
I expect to find 8 inches when I get out there tomorrow or saturday.
I know everybody is patiently waiting. I wish I could have some houses out there right now, I'd have some bookings already. as of now, I have to put them off, but everybody who has asked, completely understands my want to have safe ice before these houses go out.
keep an eye out on my website, or here. I will update it asap.
I will put my smallest day house , the 8 x 10 before the others.
I will get the rest out soon after that.
my guess, is christmas, day or just after that before the big houses go out.

who knows, maybe I'll get a nice surprise when I go check tomorrow or saturday. all we can do is wait until then.
keep your fingers crossed!

Goose and I made it out on saturday with outstanding results!
we found 10 - 10 1/2 inches of ice with about six inches of snow on top.

I have updated my report, but my derned camera battery went dead.
i bought replacements, but it's like no other battery I have ever seen??
I found the charger for it and I am charging it now for our next outing.

I think I will be pulling a house out by the end of the week.
probably my lightest skid house, the 8 x 10.
I look for the wheel houses to go out one at a time, over the next week before new years.
keep checking my website for updates!

hey chick!
how's the big dog?
how's you too?
good to hear from you!

I know what you mean, I put it in my favorites too ;D

here's my latest update:

I just got off the phone with Rick from Highbanks.
he has plowed out to the 15 foot break.
He told me that he has measured a solid 11 inches of ice.
He has pulled some day houses out for his weekend renters.
They did good last year there for Perch and norther/walleye action.

Considering the shape we're in here for ice, that's gonna have to be good enough for now.
I will have my first two houses out at least that far by this weekend.
If we need to I will bring guests out in portables to the hot spot for the evening walleye bite.

It won't be long now.
I know every body is chomping at the bit to get out with their cars and trucks, but to be safe we need to wait a little longer.
I will be concentrating on my plow truck and getting the first of two houses out.
The snowmobile needs a little work before it will be my favorite mode of transportation.

I believe the snowmobiles that have sat on mothballs for the last ten years will get a work out this season.
It"s about time. It's going to be the safest and fastest way to get around.
Four wheelers will be having a tough time of it soon as well.
I am putting my chains on tonight.
I might even go over to moose and try the plow
to see how that goes.
Maybe get buried?

I really would like to go fishing.
I guess I will have more time for that once the houses are on the ice.
At least we are moving forward now.

From the sounds of it, we are in better shape than the smaller lakes in the area.
No matter where you go, be careful.

See you on the ice!!

Pat, I have been in a bubble, what with christmas, and the plow truck, and working on the fish houses with Goose, I havent had time to even think about fishing.I haven't been up town to talk to anybody either.

I still have one house to put bunks and carpet in, and the plow truck is starting to piss me off, I may just have to get everything back and do it myself at my brothers place.

now that I have two houses on the ice, I will be in the mix.
I am working on my snowmobile tonight too, so I can take the sled and fish house out on my own to some of my other favorite lakes.

Winnie = walleyes, but my favorite is still crappies.

I know everybody wants to hear how the fish are biting, but take it from me, the fish ARE biting.early ice is always good. getting out is the tricky part.
