You could try North Center on the North end, their is a nice sandbar on the NE end, there is also the island on the NW side, look for the boats on the bar or at the point of the island.

Stop into Frankies Bait on Hwy 8 and ask them for the latest news, last I heard it was N and S Center and Chisago.

I would go to North Center if I had a choice.

The St. Croix River is still hot right now, their is a public launch in Bayport, then you would have a few choices of areas to fish on the River, try Bayport just North of Clydes Marina or head South towards Hudson, the Hudson spot is awesome right now. When your heading South on the River look for the Train Tracks tressle bridge that runs over the river, start in that channel and troll all the way down to the Hudson bridge, the water level is 20-28 all the way down until you get close to the Hudson bridge , then it shallows up to 11 feet.  Stay on the Minnesota side of the islands and bring Crawlers, fatheads and leeches.

If the water is low enough you can also take the culvert from North Center into South Center(under Hwy 8,eight ) and fish the sand bar between the two points on the main lake. The DNR has been stocking walleyes in a lot of the Chisago area lakes. You may want to try Chisago/Lindstrom Lakes also.

Next time you head up give Frankies a call or stop by. They treat their customers good and will give you good info. Was in there yesterday...what a bunch of nice guys.

I saw 7Pines aka Dan's picture taped up with a giant walleye. The same pic you see here. What a fish!
