Welcome Rex and Nancy's Bait and Tackle to the site. They will be providing us with weekly reports on area fishing.

Here is this weeks report:

There is still a Good walleye bite on big birch. Walleyes are biting on shiners and rainbow chubs. The crappies have been hit and miss. When they are biting the crappies are ranging from 1 1/2 - 2lbs and some are getting limits in an hour but the bite has been very up and down with the weather. Call for most recent info! When its cold not many fisherman are out so the info is sparse. On St. Mary's sm. sunnies and medium crappies (9-10inches) have been biting. The crappies have been biting in 30 -35 feet of water. The sunnies have been in anywhere from 8 - 25 ft. Big Sauk lake and Long Bridge Lake* have been producing sunnies and crappies. On Long Bridge the fish have been big and plentiful but REMEMBER there are special regs on that lake (for more info call Rex!).  Long lake by the Hub Supper Club has had a great sunfish bite on the north end of the lake. Anglers are reporting some nice sized fish and the bait of choice has been shrimp. We have a  Great supply at the shop all sizes. Shiners and rainbows are also plentiful. Stop in for all your tackle and bait needs!
