I'm starting to get the itch for open water...even though I truly love hardwater more. I just bought my first boat (used) last summer, so I'm still in the honeymoon stage with it. Here's my rig: 1997 Sylvan Explorer 16' with a 40hp Merc (EFI) and a bow mount Motorguide trolling motor. Came equipped with two graphs (bow and console mount). I've added some small things to it that are not in this picture (cup holders = NECESSITY!, windsheild, etc)...nothing overly fancy, but fishes 3 guys and a cooler comfortably...and I got a pretty good deal on it (I think)!

Good looking boat there. We'll have to get out together this open water season.

Thanks. Like I said, nothing overly fancy, but it gets the job done. Nice flat floor, stable, thus far reliable, big livewell and lots of storage in the bow. Best thing is it's pretty light and I can easily load/unload myself. And I like the bunk trailer with side guides. Easy to drive it right on.

Man, I am getting pumped to drag it out of storage just talking about it! :fishing:

This is a shot of my BWCA assault vehicle. Powered by a 3 cyl 25hp Johnson. The BWCA has a 25 hp limitation and this boat is used only for the B-Dub.

I also have a larger Lund that I use for guiding, but no photo at this time.

Now that's a great question and I was hoping someone would ask that. For trolling we use the twin 7435xt Twin Orcas.

Hey guys,
My Webtv makes it tough to post photos, but I have two boats. My primary rig is a 2000 19ft ProV LE tournament series dual counsel, with a 200hp Merc on the back. She can really cover some water which is important when you fish a lake that's 40 miles long. It has all the bells and whistles, including all Lowrance electronics and two Minnkota trolling motors.

My back up rig, (I also use it for trolling for Walleye and Muskie) A 93' Crestliner
sport fish, single counsel with a 05' 115 Yamaha on the back. I customised this boat myself. They didn't come in this configuration from the factory. I added an 8ft rod locker and removed what was originally a walk through.
I also extended the rear casting deck and added more storage under the front deck for all my stuff. It is also equiped with Lowrance units front and back and Minnkota trolling motors.

Sweet rig there. Have you run it yet?  If not I'd take her down the road to Joe's Marine on Chapman St. and have Rico check her out and maybe change the gear lube. I would trust them guys with my soul and their reasonable and honest.

That's a perfect rig for your area. :toast:
