Well we got out on the lake about 4 pm and headed over to myr mar reef we had a heck of the time during the day catching a fish. We were getting bites but you would let them take it and they wouldnt be there so i dont know what are problem was but we were using spinners with no snag weights with a leech on the end fishing in 24-30 feet of water. Hickfisher picked up a nice 25" fish about an hour into fishing. But after that we never got a fish till 9 then we started catching walleyes. I think we ended up with 7 keepers total 13 14 inch walleyes. Good eaters but nothing big besides Hicks fish. At night we were slip bobber fishing with a plain hook and a split shot. We started out fishing in 8 feet and nothing but people were catching fish around us so we went out to 13-14 and started catching them a lot. We caught a lot of rock bass for some reason i am sure i was doing something wrong but o well it was still a good time we had a loon by us for the longest time trying to eat a rock bass i am not sure if e ever accomplished it or not but here are a couple of pictures

A little late, but thanks for the report. Have you been out on Myr Mar since?
Here's to a long life and a merry one.
A quick death and an easy one.
A pretty girl and an honest one.
A cold pint-- and another one!

I doubt he has.  He lives up at lake of the woods all summer ::)
