I'm curious if anyone has this software for their pc, and if so what are your thoughts on it?  Is it worth the price?  What are some of the drawbacks?

Here's a link to what I'm referring to:

The reason I find this product interesting is being able to "scout" areas of lakes while holed up at home when I can't get out on the lakes!   :happy1:

  • work fasinates me I love to watch it be done
Would be nice sometimes to be able to print something but was told a couple years ago that they do this to make it hard for people to copy the chip and there program, I have the minnesota chip and am very impressed with it. If i had put all that work into a chip i would want somthing in return also. I ues a lowrance 332c which I have the ice pack for so it is on the boat in the summer and with me ice fishing in the winter. Am really sold on it and the lakemaster products. The stuff is really where they say it is and the lake contours are dead on also. I wouldnt go out with out it especially on a lake i didn't know. As for the price I think it is worth it for the info that is there, I think it is one of the you get what you pay for things and I think it is worth it.

I have it installed on my PC at home and love it.  I make maps of areas
I will be fishing and also manage my waypoints on it.
It is worth every penny...............fishing from home on your favorite lakes
when you can't be there.
The only drawback for me is the cost of the "blue" ink I've used in printing
out over 100 maps.

So djd2828 , your can print the maps?

I to was told that you couldn't print any thing off thier software, you could only up load your data from a chip and look at it on the PC but not down load or print anything from it.

Thanks, Benny
