Walleye action is picking up after all that cold weather and should continue to improve with each day.  Some anglers are reporting 8 - 12 fish per day per person, while others are doing 15 - 20 per person per day with more walleye.  Those with best results report:  Fishing early morning and late afternoon/evening in 20- 22'.   Mid day they are going to 30 - 32' in the mud or 26 - 30' off the reefs.  The are using gold, pink & white, green & white, & glow jigs or red plain hooks with smallest bobbers.  Using electronics to see and go after the suspended walleyes is giving those anglers a huge edge.

Evening shallow walleye action on the lake and river should get going any day now as we lose some of this snow allowing anglers to move around more and also give us a some warm run off.  Be sure to bring the extensions for your augers as there is 3 plus feet of ice.
