Sometimes not necessarily in that order.  :whistling:

Sleeping... ;)

Thats funny because i always intend to get some sleep before opener starts. But i always end up going sleepless because we leave for the lake after work on friday, get too excited at midnight and hit the lake all night, good or poor fishing and we stay out all night, then fish all day until dark on Saturday. After eating, playing cards and a few beverages, i may get to bed at 2 am unless we head back out.

Seems i go sleepless until i get home Sunday night and then pass out.

Exactly Spin...When I used to do the opener, I couldnt sleep...didnt even try to... Would be too amped up to sleep...but then I learned that if I just went the day after opener, or better yet, the next weekend, all the "rookies" would have had their fill or sunk their boats or tow vehicle and trailers off the launch by then and I'd have much more fun not having to deal with their launching their boat shananigains.... ;)

It all depends on the weather to me. Ideally I like to get up to the lake early afternoon and relax, get things ready and have a few beverages. Usually grill a good dinner or grab a bite to eat at Buzzies. Then its off to the local bars for the night and if the weather cooperates I like to head out at midnight to the same spot I go to every year for the midnight bite. If the weather is nice I stay out till about 3am and then its back to bed and sleep till I wake up and repeat. Usually go out for the evening bite and then come in for a night of fun. I try not to fish too much on the opener. Its more of a celebration to kick off the season to me, although I do hate getting skunked on the opener it happens a lot ;D   :toast:

Me to i get all excited but lay awake all night, and then get things ready at 2 am lol..
But i know i always make sandwiches, and i almost always come home with them as well .. I don't get hungry on the water.. But all my pop is gone lol.. I will sit down on the floor in the kitchen and go through all my tackle, clean out the yuckie stuff in the bottom of my box, un- clue the rubber baits from the plastic  tackle box lol..  I have lucky socks.. they have fishes on them, i got them when i was young, they are now anklets tho, and many holes, the fish now look like greenish blue blobs on them, but i only wear them for opener..
