The past couple of weeks there has been a fantastic bite in the Red Wing area. Tons of 15 to 21 inch saugers being put in the boat and an occasional walleye. These fish are holding on the bends in 24 FOW and at times have been very aggressive. We had doubles and a couple triples on several passes yesterday, awesome day. Vertical jigging, pulling plastics and trolling 3-ways have all produced well. This current bite will last as long as the river condition holds and the way the weather looks that should be atleast a couple weeks and then it's on to the spawn bite. Good times here on the old river. Good luck to all and have at em folks.
