In the day of everyone has boats... does anyone still shore fish?

I noticed that each year more and more areas for shore fishing are over growing with brush and makes it hard to cast..

You got any good places at your lakes to shore fish still?

thanks NG

i own a boat and i do 80% of my fishing from shore, most of the lakes around here have walking paths but it is still hard to cast i just fish off the docks and have better luck than people in the boats and my best area is fishing from the dock when and limiting out on walleyes when everyones struggling and waiting in line to put there boat in.

Codys right, you dont need a boat to go fishing. It is a nice luxury but not a necessity. There are plenty of great shore fishing spots everywhere.

I dont fish much anymore so I sold my boat years ago and bought a conoe. What fishing we do is 99% shore fishing. I know a spot in Bemidji that I take the kids to and they love it. It is a bay off of a big lake and then a creek comes out of it. It is a very small bay about 30 feet wide and maybe 100 feet long and is about 4-5 feet deep. It is crystal clear and you can watch the bass swimming around. The kids think it is cool because you can watch the bass actually take your bait and the fight is on. We have caught everything from 1/2 pound to about 6 pounds out of there. Once in awhile we put in the canoe and go into the next bay out before hitting the actual lake and slay the snake northerns just for fun. 99% of what we catch is released for another day of fun.
