The bite on the river as of late has been awesome with good numbers of big saugers being caught and some really nice walleyes also. This past week it's been big walleyes early and late in the day and saugers in between. Can't think of a better way to spend the day. Most of our saugers have been running between 2 and 3 1/2 pounds and the walleyes have been 3 to 10 pounds, lots of decent fish. Look for the saugers to  be holding fairly deep in 24 FOW and the walleyes much shallower on top of the breaks. Unless something drastic happens to the current river condition such as heavy rains this bite should keep going strong for the next couple weeks so have at em folks, this is what we have been waiting for all winter. Man I love spring...
