Lakes in the Buffalo area are giving up crappies as of tonight, caught a few off my dock yesterday near st. cloud, The fish are just starting and some are still staging, but they are filtering in/out of the shallows.  Friday was good in the Coldspring area,  Water needs to warm just a bit more to get the "classic" bite, good luck

Suspended in Prior Lake.

They had moved into the shallows in a selct few areas. If you could find water 3-4 degrees warmer than the main lake  it would be a good spot to try !

Got out on Chisago last night, they were right up on shore and you had to fish where the wind was blowing in. Pretty small, ratio was 1 in 10 to get a keeper of 10"-11"

we were over in the South bay, where all the ice fisherman go, then north of that so...nope.

If you were going to try that I would like to watch ;D

You could try that over by the Dinnerbell side, hike down from there and go west?
