Walleyes everywhere
For those who were wise enough to check with us here in Ely  instead of letting the negative reports of of those with their "professional" opinions about ice out, sitting a hundred miles away, the fish gods were definitely smiling down on them. Report after report of very impressive catches were common. The power dam at Fall lake led the pack with double digit catches the norm. Following suit was the area around Silver Rapids on White Iron lake. Jig and rainbow minnow combinations were the ticket. If you're into some hot walleye action now is the time for you to visit the Ely area. Stop in the shop and we'll point you in the right direction.
