I was going to town today an seen what I thought was a hen pheasant. Then I thought it was a rooster, then a hen and back again. As I drove past it I looked close at it, it looked like a hen pheasant but it's neck and head was entirerely RED. I didn't have the camera with so I have no pic but just wondering if it's a fluke of nature of a hen/or rooster or if someones pen raised hybrid got out? Anyone seen anything like this?

could be partial albinism.  I shot a rooster pheasant 20 some years ago that had an all tan body with regular color tail feathers and a dull (faded) red head.
I fish not because I regard fishing as being so terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant - and not nearly as much fun.? Robert Traver "Anatomy of a Fisherman"

I saw an odd colored pen raised bird a few years ago up at Glendorado. I think there are some pictures of it floating around somewhere.
