The Bemidji forum sure is quiet these days.... It' not for lack of good fishing in our area, that's for sure!

Walleye's can still be had on Lake Bemidji, Plantag, Cass, Leech, and numerous small lakes in the area. Jig and shiner is still the preferred combo, but many people are finding fish on rigs as of late as well. Look to 8-12' of water for the shiner bite, and rigging out a bit deeper has been good.

Pannies in the area are still going strong. Crappies are still biting in shallow water, with a few larger fish roaming getting ready to spawn. The bluegills are hot and heavy getting ready for their upcoming spawn as well. We made it out after some green sunfish and bluegills and had some real luck on some big fish, 'gills in the 9-10" range and greenies coming in between 9-9.5".

It's now mid-June and the bite remains the same for most species. Walleyes are still easily had on a jig and minnow or rigs. The crankbait bite is even starting to heat up.

One thing is different, the muskies are starting to roll.....
