I took my youngest son Alex (3) out fishing tonight for an hour, we stopped into Blue Ribbon bait and bought a tub of waxies and got to the lake at 6:55 pm, first line in the water at 7pm and had 2 limits of very nice Bluegills by 8:05 pm, these were very nice fish, all from a half pond up to 3/4 pound, the first few I kept were justt nice eaters 1/2 pound and then a nice big bull went in the bucket, after that I kept enough of the big ones for 2 limits.

The big excitement of the night was hooking about a 15# Northern on my St. Croix rod with only 2# line on, I had him coming in for a good look and then it jumped about 3 feet out of the water, then the line broke, lots of fun on 2# test.

Alex caught 3 fish on his own until he started to have more fun throwing loose waxworms in the water, we even had 2 small turtles break our lines off.

I'll be heading back to this same lake tomorrow, but I'll try to get there a couple hours earlier, if anyone wants to come out, give me a pm or post here and I'll get you on some nice panfish.

Here is a picture of a few of the nicer fish, this pic was taken in my garage as I was cleaning them.

Fished from 5:30 to 7pm tonight, it was very windy and a little slower tonight for the bigger fish. We did catch over a 100 small sunnies that were all less than a half pound, none of the bigger fish tonight but had about 15 that were half pound and a little bigger.

Alex sure loved it again. ;D

Here is a nice sunset pic from last Friday night on Peltier.

Have you been out to your secret lake lately?
Here's to a long life and a merry one.
A quick death and an easy one.
A pretty girl and an honest one.
A cold pint-- and another one!

Nope, it's been a few weeks since I've been out there.

I'm thinking maybe Friday evening for a couple hours.
