We spent some time up at the cabin on Lake of the Woods over the 4th, relaxed, watched some fireworks, ate like kings, and of course did some fishing....

We fished mainly out from Zippel Bay near the twin trees and the field as the wind was kicking pretty good the entire time we were up. I did venture out to toss jigs on the reefs when not accompanied by other people. We caught fish on everything, leeches, chubs, shiners, and of course crawlers. Best bait was a hand-tied hammered gold/blue crawler harness with a fat blown up crawler. No giants this trip, biggest was 21", but we didn't have any trouble finding limits of slots. Got some bonus sauger as well. Anywhere from 6-17 feet of water was producing on decent clips, slowing down when we had on minnows.
