Last week on Green and Koronis resulted in some very nice largemouth and smallmouth bass.  Green was not as feverish as it has been over the past few weeks with the smallie bite.  Of course the dead wind and high skies didn't help.  We worked the shallow flats early in the morning and landed a few 18" - 19" inch bronzies.  Through some shallow running cranks seemed to be the best early on over the flats.

As the sun rose and the heat increase, the shallow bass bite was tougher to locate.  We started working the deep breaks with relative success.  Some lipless crankbaits, slow rolled spinnerbaits, jigs , Texas-rigged and Carolina-rigged plastics all hooked into some smallies and largies.  I was unable to consistently connect with one lure more than the other.

Koronis was on fire in the evening a couple of times last week.  Working the breaks and a few deep holes, along with some shallow wind hammered points kept the smallies and buckets feasting.  Lure choice did not seem to be a key, but placement was.  The mid-day bite was good as well with us working some of the deeper breaks with slow moving presentations and the occasional lipless crank.

My apologies for the confusion.  Green Lake in Spicer.  I will lump the two lakes together since many times I will fish both within days of each other.

Photo is my daughter's 18" largie caught at dusk working the rocks on Koronis.

New guy here. Nice website!

I spent the morning fishing Koronis yesterday and the walleye bite in weeds was decent. I was targeting bass so most of the walleye came on a jig/worm combo and few larger fish on crankbaits. No smallies, but the largemouth were willing and able!  ;)
