 "When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty."? Thomas Jefferson? To think this was penned? over 200 years ago is amazing. We are losing liberty amazingly fast. Think about how the power of the government has? exploded over the last several years, from local to the fed. What has it accomplished? Oh, I know, the national debt is now 9 trillion!? I can visualize Jefferson sitting there strumming his fingers, and thinking to himself, Why did I right this stuff down? Those men of that time were true patriots, going up against the king of England. They did'nt want to be slaves to the government, quivering and asking how high when they say jump.
