My son was at the pull in Eagle Bend last weekend.  It was a very well run event, it all went very smooth.  Many thanks to the people that put this on, it is nice when things are run professionally and timely.  Son ended up getting three first place's and also had the longest pull.  He dominated in his classes.  He also pulled in one more class but was the first puller after they had wet down the track and spun out early, he lost by about six feet.  That is just the luck of the draw for the pulling position.  In the other classes the closest puller was from twenty feet to 80 feet behind him.  It was a good and fun night.

Sounds like you did have fun, congrats to the boy for doing so well.

Did they have any modified pullers there?

I have seen some of these at a pull up in Little Falls that the people had such modifided machines they were strictly pullers.
Mega displacement motors with huge pipes and running high end fuel.

Yes, there were a couple of modified ones there but they didn't do very well.  We are thinking of building a modified puller ourselves, it sure would be fun driving one down the track!!  When is the pull in Little Falls and is it well organized?

There is a pull in Hewitt on Friday night and also one in Deer Creek on saturday afternoon.  We will be there and if anyone else wants to come it would be great.  It should be a good time.  We are looking at purchasing a home made tractor that has a stuck Wisconsin engine on it.  It would be fun to hear that V4 engine run and see what it would pull.  We are just in the thinking stage.

We went to Hewitt last night for their pull.  It was very unorganized and dissappointing to be a part of.  My son did well in his pulls.  His first class he came in second only 19 inches behind a big modified puller, it sure didn't seem right to be pulling against a modified!!  My first pull, I came in second in a class of about twenty machines, lost by about 5 feet.  My sons second pull he had a great pull, he out pulled everyone by twenty feet.  There was one sore loser on a Polaris that was very upset with us, he claimed that we were overweight but we were 8 pounds under but he wouldn't tell us what his weight was!!  He said there is no way anyone can out pull him by twenty feet but we did!!!  Fair and square...
