Randy, I'd say get her to an archery pro shop and see if they have a bow for her to use that fits her well, and someone good with kids and knowledgeable with beginning archers to help get her started. It's a key time and first impressions go a long way. I wish both of you the best, will certainly help any way I can, because here is where the future begins.

Well I have a son who is 8 and I just bought his 1st (real) bow. He has had all sorts of toy ones in the past. I would look into Parker and if she is big enough and strong enough to pull back there bow they have a grow with Parker program where when they outgrow this bow they can send back parts of the bow for a larger size. It is a large investment but this way they have a bow that will last for 8 years rather then getting a new one every 2-3 years.

Parker and Diamond both have that program. That is the best way to do it. You spend a little more now but saves big$$$ in the long run. Parker you get get down to 10lbs. the draw length is were it gets hard the shortest for these two bows is 18". Good luck. My son is going to be 9 and has been shooting for about 2 1/2 years and loves it.
If today was perfect. There would be no need for tomorrow.
