You can use dogs while hunting elk?  Or was he just keeping company.  There weren't too many elk permits either, so congratulations!

no you can't use dogs to hunt elk, she was in the p/u and came out for the pics. MN issued 23 tags this year, 12 in the grygla area, and 11 in the Kittson county hunt.

our opening day, fun times. i didnt get any of the pictures from the rest of season yet but as soon as i get them i will post up the rest of our deer and party members. everyone got deer this year so that was nice.

It's not a picture of camp, however it is a nice spot on my land I may have to try next fall.  I took the picture about three weeks ago.

Our deer in the Panhandle of Florida are runts compared to yours.  My biggest buck was taken a couple years ago on a ranch near Lubbock Texas.  He weighed in at 175 pounds and had 9 points.  He was a 4 1/2 years old and was a decent buck for that part of Texas.  What makes him a trophy for me was that I took him with a Thompson Center Contender handgun with a 30-30 Ackley Improved barrel.  One shot instant kill at 70 yards.
