  Just wondering what my fellow hunters wear for base layers under their gear.

I wear a Cabelas' mid weight set and am going to try the Under Amour mock shirt.  Polypropalene (Spelling?) socks in the footwear.  I sweat heavy and cotton is a killer in my book. :cold:

I wear spandex type shorts and top under a good old fashion union suit. some non-cotton socks underneath wool ones.

Pretty much the same as you, and do stay away from cotton against the skin.  I like the Cabela's stuff, has work for me for a few years.  I would think most modern synthetic would work well.

Another thing to keep yourself warm, eat a good breakfast to stoke your inner fire and keep your body warm.

I have some of those "wicking" socks and they work great to keep the feet dry.. but i layer the snot out of my clothes when sitting in a deer stand, windstop sweater under the parka works good.. I also have a pants liner from when I was in the army.. it's quilted and gortex. hard to describe but works well.

Big fan of Under Armour as I spend a lot of time working outside in the winter. Both the shirts and stocking caps get heavily used. Most of my fall is spent just wearing the long sleeve ua shirts and then a tee shirt. Staying dry is the key to staying warm.  :snow5:

Under Armour here also. It's spendy but worth every dime. Then I add another long john set from cabela's, then a sweat shirt, then a fleece top and finally my coat. Then when it gets cold.  :rotflmao:Just kidding.
