The day bite on Shaw's Reef is consistent with walleyes in the 10" - 14" range in depths from 12ft - 20ft. Many of our customers have reported cathcing more fish this year than all of last year. Early morning and late afternoon seem to offer the most action. We had a rental house keep 6 walleye and throw back twice as many in just a few hours one afternoon on a plain red hook and a set line.

Happy Holidays!

What is the fishing like down on hawkbill during the ice season. I'm not much of an ice fisherman but usually make it out once or twice. I know you can catch a fish almost anywhere around the area in the summer but winter is different in that area???

Thanks!
