I ventured out to west rush on last tuesday (23rd). The ice was plenty thick and anyone with 4x4 was driving out. We fished in 25 FOW and did well. Caught probably 50 crappies and kept 19 that were close to 10"+. The bite was good from when I arrived (2:45) untill about 30 min after sundown. We fished well after sundown and did catch fish but it was slower.
Now this is only hearsay but a friend told me that he did well in about 32 FOW after 7 PM.
