We are setup in about14fow out pf aggazzi. (sp?) cookie plowed us out a spot. Well, as I am typing, just pulled in a 17" eye. We have caught three now. A 19", and two 17" keepers. Missed 6 on the rattle reels. Seem to be getting a bite on the rattle reels every 20 minutes or so here. I am going to pull them up soon to get some sleep. :) the active ones are white glow, set about 15" off the bottom.

We'll, we have 6 keepers now. A few more 19"s that we had to throw back.my dad and I went in to get more gas for the generator and left my 11 year old out here to watch the lines. He caught 2 and missed 1. And something big snapped a line. So that was exciting for him. There is no one really around us.

we ended up with about 16 keepers, gave all but nine away... some to cookie, a few to the people around.  sounds like we did the best in the area.  I think I am going up again this weekend.

well, i was up again this past weekend...  was a tougher bite, but we still managed to all take limits.  went out of westwind on friday, nothing really doing out there.  we went out on their road, the one that branches to the left.  not much action.  then sat morn, moved down to morts... out about 1 mile in 12' water... we got some there.  some friends were out on the center bar out of rogers, and they only got two fish.  but they said about 200 yards off the road they saw some guys that went out on snowmobiles and they were completely by themselves, they were there in the morning and the evening... so they are guessing they got them good.  Co that checked them confirmed that.

just came back from red...16 of guys went out of aggazzi...rented there houses.4 houses  for 24 hours..had a great time because we dont get together enough...walleyes we caught alot .....but not alot in the slot..... ..but we did have a great time because family made it great...

Just got back from Red lake today fished Sunday through this morning and did pretty weel.  We were set up in 7 feet on top of a rocky ridge that ran out to about 10' of water about 200 yards away.  I was a little worried about the depth until the guide left and we started ctaching fish.  It was not 5 minutes that the first rattle reel was in the water and we had a hit run and break off.  that pattern continued 4 more times in the next two hours.  My wife also hooked a big northern that we got a look at down the hole, but never held.  He line got stuck under the ice and since I could not reach it with my hand I had to try and do it with the ice scoop.  At that moment the pike ran and the line got caught in the scoop and broke.  I felt horrible the rest of the day because it would have been her largest fish by far.  We did manage to bring home 5 walleyes, with about 12 caught in all.  Nothing over 17" and 7 under 14" that we returned to the lake.  I finally managed to get one on the rattle wheel yesterday afternoon that went 33" and 7lbs.  That was a riot!  It probably took 10-12 minutes to catch.  If you could have been a fly on the wall watching me man the line and my wife man the reel so the line would not tangle!  Good stuff indeed.  Here are a couple pictures.  Looks like we are going back in February, per the wife's request, to try our luck again.
