So I get to a stop sign 2 miles from my house this morning and cannot see out my driver window if vehicles are coming. I roll the window down, pull out into the road, and try to roll it up again with no luck.

What would you do?

Well, my wife doesn't work on Fridays and I thought it would be worthless to take it home to my non-heated garage so I pulled the hat down even tighter and gutted it out. My work is exactly 13 miles from my house through our town so I was only going about 40 most of the time.

The last stretch was 55+ miles an hour and I had to stop at a KT to get a cup of joe and think about what the hell I was doing and thaw my legs out.

It's hard to calculate what the actual temp was in my vehicle with the wind whipping in there as the outside temp. gauge said -29, but all I know is that is the coldest I have ever been!

I probably should have called in sick 'cause I'm still thawing out three hours later.

Well for crying out loud, you didn't have to drive with you head out the window.  :rotflmao:

Funny (not so) you should post this. On Tuesday night my wife rolled down the window in our explorer and it wouldn't go back up. $250 bucks later it's working again. At they garage they said they have had a number of vehicles in with broken electric windows due to the cold.

All I could say was Faw kinn ae.

I brought it in our warehouse to thaw, it works just fine now.

Also you referenced about 1/32nd of what I was saying on the way to work. I will add that I did say Faw kinn ae quite a few times.

I hear you. Lucky for me I didn't have to drive too far.
It sounds like everything inside the door was broken in mine.

Funny how it never seems to happen on a 75 degree July evening.

They really are over rated. Reminds me of a funny story though. The two boys from next door were looking at Collin's new car (my son). About a 1990 toyota Corolla. They would have been maybe 10 and 12 years old. One of them says,"What's this thing?" They had never seen a manual window opener. The spent the next 10 minutes rolling the windows up and down.
