HOT PANFISH BITE!  Really some great weather during the week and the panfish bite was excellent on Minnewaska.  Most were reporting a constant sunfish bite with sorting through to the 7 to 8 inch keepers.  There were even some groups to the west reporting 8 to 10 inch sunfish!  Everyone was really having a great time!  Put down a tip-up as well for an occasional walleye or pike.  Panfish bite slowed over the weekend and we think it was due to the fast temp and pressure change...got up to 43 F!  Now we are back down to - 4 F.  Still got their fish but had to work just a little harder...instead of the fish jumping in the pail, they had to tip the pail on it's side so they could swim into the pail.  Should be another nice week however and the weekend is looking like 20s and low 30s...perfect ice fishing weather!  Walleyes are a little slower but enough to keep things interesting.  Marking a lot of fish and getting bites but they are biting light.  Usually catch 2, 3 or 4 a night so that is not too bad.  Pike are also continuous with the occasional bass as well.  The ice conditions are still great with 24 plus inches of ice on Minnewaska!  Roads are plowed and open making it easy to get around.  Stop in and get one of our free "Kyle's Hot Spots" map and we can get you to the good spots.  Reno has still been really steady with sunfish and crappies as well as walleye.  Reports are that the roads are rough.  We will have ample supply of fatheads and shiners as well as regular items.  Starting this year, Fish On will also be providing FISH HOUSE RENTAL...give us a call or email with any questions!
