Monday Aug 14th morning trip 5:00 am to 11:30 am Late report.
Today I had Joe Genovese and son Paul. We worked Black Point, Conference Point and the deep breaks along the flats. Leeches out fished the crawlers today for whatever reason I don't know. The leeches seem to work better on the outside edges of the deep weeds than in the weeds themselves since they are more visible when not buried in the thick stuff.

We wound up with 23 smallies and 2 largemouth along with 4 pike. The smallmouth action has remained consistent for the last 3 weeks and if I chose to fish shallower I'm sure the largemouth numbers would increase. However most of my clients are in search of the "Old Bronze Back" and that's fine with me. We wrapped it up a half hour early this morning, but that's good for me since I had another trip at 12:00 today.

See ya on the water, Lee Borgersen
