I wish Cuddyer would have got a hit the first two times he batted yesterday.

Twins win again, now 2 and 1    A come from behind in the bottom of the 9th win and a Nathan save in the second win. Looks so far like they are playing Twins ball and don't count them out till the ball park franks are bagged for the next nights game!

They better get Mauer fixed up and back on the field, we need him in the lineup and his glove behind the plate.

I am pretty excited!  Our starting pitching is young and a little rusty.  They will only get better with each time out.  Our big hitters are starting slow and are starting to warm up (Justin Morneu and Michael Cuddyer, Joe Crede).  Plus we have both Mauer and Redman injured (Redman should be back today or tomorrow).  With that being said, the Twins are looking good and are only going to get better with the pitchers shacking off the rust, the big bats heating up and the return of Mauer down the road.

I think it was on the new, but what do you guys think they should rename the "Dome Dog" when they move into the new outdoor ballpark? I think my vote would be staying with Dome Dog.

I don't care what they name it as long as it provides the gas passengers in my vehicle have come to know and love for the trip home! :happy1:

Twinkies and Perkins get shut out this afternoon 2 - 0 with no run support. Will be watching tomorrow night to see what the knuckleballer Dickey can do against the hated White Sox. Would be nice to see Crede have a big game against them too. Anybody remember who the last knuckleball pitcher the Twins had was? I can't. Was it Niekro and his emery board?

Yeah, it was Joe Knuckles... Thought it was so cool to have him on the team that year... we may have had a reliever since Joe that was a knuckler, that was around for a cup o' coffey, dont remember his name....   Hey, how bout garbage dogs, or dump dogs (junk yard dogs? ;D)for the plant there by the new park.... hard to beat the ole dome dog though.... The boyz will be just fine once we get at least one of our catchers back behind the plate :happy1:..... Its gotta be tough on a rookie to call a game like he has... he hasnt done too bad though...

I think they should call it a hot dog once they move to the new stadium.  I drove by the new park today for work and it is really coming along.  I can't believe how big the scoreboard in centerfield is.  You will be able to drive down 394 and see what the score is, I guess you could also get that by listening to the radio.

It was nice to see the Twins break out the bats last night in Chicago.  RA Dickey was a little frustrating with walking batters and allowing the sox to keep coming back each inning.  He did an alright job.  The story of the game was the Twins hitting.  The best moment was when Crede hit the HR.  Second best was when we kept scoring in the 7th with no outs.  I was pumped!

I agree, calling it a "target dog" or something else just won't be right.

Yeah, Target Dog would remind me of those weenies at Target's food courts going round and round in the carousel for days on end. They're so dried out by the time you eat them it takes a lot of liquid in order to avoid getting bound up! Speaking of bound up, maybe that's the problem with the pitching staff and their hitting hasn't been far behind. Solution: Keep them out of Target! ;D

They otta keep Jason permantly in the outfield and trade Young for a good set up man, a lefty for the bullpen... Really nice to have a powerful bat like him around Justin so they gotta pitch to him.... & just wait till mauer comes back! ;D

We do have too many outfielders.  It is already tough trying to get them all playing time.  We should try to trade one for a good reliever.

Nice job taking 2 out of 3 from the Rays! Am looking forward to getting Mauer back. Will be interesting to see how Redmund responds to his days off, if they have to put him on the DL or not and whether they keep Morales up here for awhile. Scoring early and often seems to be the key with this team so far. Gives the pitchers a little breathing room and with the young catcher, makes it easier to call the game.

Yep, really nice to get Mauer back... Important cog in the lineup....Im guessin they'll put Redmond on the DL for a while since Morales is so hot... interesting situation...Redmond's one of my favorite players, always loved the "smell the RBI" deal.... hope his job is secure.....

Yup, Mauer's da man! I see they sent Morales down to Rochester yesterday. He performed well in his brief stint with the team. I like Redmund too and hope he's able to get his shoulder straightened out. Heck, I hope I can get my shoulder straightened out! Making it difficult to cast with my usual pinpoint accuracy! ;D

Big Redmond fan myself. The guy just loves the game.
I agree we are going to need another reliever. Bonser and Neshek were important to our pitching rotation and although Dickey seems to be doing OK, I think Ayala needs to tighten it up a bit or bring up somebody else.

Not sure I agree that we have too many outfielders. We almost have as many guys that can cover 3B as we do outfielders. Not sure any of them are trade worthy, but we are 3B heavy on the roster.

I think they're worried about Crede's back going out.  If it does hold out, Im thinking they'll trade one of tose x-tra 3rd base guys and or both an outfielder to get some reliever help.... Yeah, how is Neshek doing in rehab?  I really miss that sidearm/submariner in the bullpen... Boof I dont miss so much, but he does have a great name! :whistling:  Crain is comming back so that should help a bit, but it aint enough.

Lets not forget Cuddie has been hitting the ball hard the past four games and starting to get some hits and rbi... lots of games to play and I think this team is coming together, Young picthers are looking more like they did last year during the run. Now Gardie has to play the game of managing them arms, but that is why he gets the big bucks and I listen on the radio..

yep... that'll leave a mark... shows ya how important it is to keep a heads up at games, both players, coaches & fans.  Wait till next year, the seats are alot closer to 1st and 3rd base... Id be bringin a glove for self defense if your in those areas... ;)

I read in the paper the other day that Neshek won't start throwing until november they sure do miss him.
