Looking for a place to hit the water in the boat with my Dad on Wed in the Faribault area.

Walleyes, Northern, Panfish, Bass...does anyone have any suggestions for a place to start as we only have a few hours to spend on the water Wed.

Looking at probably heading up to either Mazaska, French, Shields or Roberds.

Thanks in advance!

Sounds good letgofishing, we're getting ready to head out now. We'll be hitting Mazaska today. I'll update our day when I get back home later.

Didn't end up getting on the water. We unloaded the boat and parked the truck only to find that they boat motor would not start. We drained the battery trying to turn it over and then wore out our shoulders pulling on the rope for awhile before giving up.

Dad just had it in last summer for tune up but didn't take it out after that and probably left some gas in the tank and some in the bowl that we think "varnished" the inside of the carb.

So, we loaded back up and came home and he dropped the boat back off at the repair shop to have the carb cleaned up and we'll try again next week.

After I picked up my son from school we headed down to Lake Kohlmeier here in Owatonna and fished off the pier for awhile to use up the crappie minnows I had picked up for our trip to Mazaska. Tyler caught a bunch of small bluegills and bass in the 2 hours we were out there so we still got out and wet some line.

Scott, 32 cents of fuel stabilizer last fall would of saved your trip! if its a 2 stroke you really don't have to worry about fogging the cylinders either. fyi

Dad said he put fuel stabilizer in it but still had the issue. He said Neal at the repair shop put something in the tank to breakdown any buildup in the motor and he got it running briefly but said normallly they let it sit for 24 hours to allow it to really get in there and work.

Hopefully it will be a quick easy fix and we will be back out on the water sometime this week.
