What is everyone using and how about a review to go along with it.

One camera I am interested in is this one:

Wildgame IR4 4MP IR Camera

This 4.0 camera features 16MB onboard memory, an infrared flash (30 ft.) and a large LCD programming screen, accommodates up to a 2GB SD card (not included) for photo storage, takes still photos and video (30 sec. clips), USB cable and bungee cords for mounting (included), operates on (4) C-Cell batteries (not included).

Anyone know anything about this camera?

I guess i can start this off....

I have used a Moultrie 4.0 that has worked very good except in cold weather. I also do not like the flash and will be looking into the above camera. Thanks for posting.. any more???

I have only used the Moultrie 4.0IR and have had decent luck with it. I have not used it in extremely cold conditions though, I will have to keep tabs on that and see if it acts up this year.
I would be interested in seeing what the reviews say about the Wildgame 4.0 IR though. I am sure the pricepoint will be fair.

I am useing the moultrie 4.0 IR.  There are 2 drawbacks that I don't like. 1 the slower trigger speed which can be overcome by pointing the camera down the trail instead of across it.
2.  It is a little hard to get the memory card in and out with big fingers.

Positives
1 Great battery life.  I have well over 6,000 picture on the same set of nonrechargable batteries and it is still reading 60 %
2 Easy to program
3 Great pictures
4  The 4 gig memory cards will hold over 3500 pictures
5 Red dot aiming tool for lining up the camera
6 Video,  although I have never used it.
7 I almost forgot,  It;s infrared

I haven't had a problem with the cold.

Anything that is free is worth saving up for.

I've used the Moultrie infared and it's awesome but I own 5 wildview cameras. Three extreme 2 and two extreme 4 cameras and they work great for me. I don't need a real quick trigger speed because I put them right over salt licks and so the deer stick around for a bit. Plus they're cheap compared to other's so I like the wildveiws.
Let the small bucks walk. Don't assume the neighbors will shoot them if you don't. If you shoot him what chance does that buck have to grow......ZERO!

We just put out two Stealthcam IR's last week. Can't wait to check them out in about a week to see how the pics are. We paid about 130 each.

That was my first round of pictures. I put two cams out and went back a week later and had about 1200 pics. All the pics are good. I'm not as concerned about trigger speed as I am shooting over mineral and some corn. The deer stay so trigger speed is not a problem. I guess if anything the only complaint would be that the deer are looking at the camera leading me to believe that it is making noise when the picture goes off. Now, I did not hear anything when the pic was taken but everytime it goes off night or day it appears the deer are looking at the camera. That issue is hard to rate on a scale of 1 - 10. When it comes down to it I have no issues in 2 weeks of using the camera. Talk to me in a month and I may have another opinion but right now I am very happy. Before I was spending 100 dollars on a flash moultrie 4.0, for 30 extra bucks I would not waste my money on a flash cam.

It was 129.99 at Fleet Farm.

Cool looking camera. What type of cost goes into these cams you use and how much labor?

On average about $200-$220 and about 3-4 hours labor.  I picked up my W7 on Ebay for $25.50 and the parts for around $107.  Got lucky on the camera. The modifying of the camera is difficult and requires some skill, specifically soldering skills.

We got a Wild Game inovations infrared and it has drained the batteries in less than a week.....TWICE now. I'm calling them tomorrow to politely give them my input on this camera. We got it because it was like $70 or something. Well I can't even say you get what you pay for here. The whole selling point on this camera was battery life. The pics were good during the day but the infrared range on it sucked. It took 60 pics before it died the first time and 25 pics the second time around. I was using Energizer batteries that I had just bought. I have used cuddy back, Moulrie, Wildview and Stealth cams and Wild Game innovations is by far the worst camera I have ever used....Can you tell that I'm upset? I drove an hour up to our hunting land just to check this camera. Got ate alive by bugs during my hike back to get to it and find that the camera we got 3 weeks ago had drained the batteries once again. My flash wildview cameras last WAY longer than that.  :banghead:
