Hey everybody, I'm back. I have been down with a bad case of phnemonia for the past 3 week's. All is well and I am on the mend. I had posted on my web site a few weeks back asking for people to email me if they wanted me to continue the reports. There are so many people posting now day's, that I was not sure if my reports had enough content to make an impact anymore. Well after over 200 emails came to my Inbox, to tell you the truth, I actually thought that I was hit with some spam email deal. To my great surprise, they were all from people that read the report every week and wanted me to know, that they my not respond to them by email but, that they are outthere and they are waiting to see it every week. So with that being said, I can tell you with great delight, I will be keeping the reports coming. So with no further delays.
Here is the Rockman's Report
It was nice to finally get some badly needed rain around here over night last night and into this morning. It was a nice slow rainfall and now the sun is out and the lake is calm. We most have picked up around a half an inch or so of rain total. It will help with the dry grass, but I do not think that it will help with the severe drought condition around the lake, but we will take what we can get. We have dropped about a half foot or more so far this season. We do not want to lose any more of the lake level than we have or things will start to get very interesting for the fall fishing this year. I am already thinking about the fall trolling bite and how it is going to be this season. I have not seen much in the way of a crank bite with reef runners as of yet, but hopefully the water will warm up soon and we will start to see that bite fire up. The water temps are at 66 degrees rite now, which is very unusual at this time of the year, but the whole season has been very unusual. The wind has been relentless and the cold weather has been right behind it most of the year.
The mud bite is still going strong during the day with lindy rigs and leeches or crawlers and the bobber bite in deep water at night has been good also. Most of the shallow water rocks on the west side have been unfishable for the past couple of weeks. The problem is that the winds have been very strong out of the, North and East at 15 to 25 mph or more, a lot this season. It makes it tuff to hold an anchor in those types of wind. There is a pretty decent bite going on out there. With the summer at the half way point, Patti and I have decided to do a weekday special from Monday thru Thursday, with a minimum 2 night stay for 69.00 dollars for cabins 1,3,4 and cabin 2 for 79.00 and cabin 5 for 89.00 and cabin 6 the New Trailer for 125.00. Now remember, it is for the weekdays only, Monday thru Thursday and you must mention that you saw it on the report. I hope it will allow most of you a little wiggle room in these hard times to afford to make the trip up to the big lake to see us.
I still do have R.V lots and Cabin lots available to buy at true rock bottom prices. I have made the decision to keep these steal of a deal prices until fall, then they will go back up to their appraisal prices and I will wait it out. I can not afford to give them away, and I will not do that. I know what they are worth and at these prices; you can not afford not to buy now. They will not be at these prices for long. The bad economic times will turn around and things will get back to some type of normalcy in the next few years. We will just keep doing what we have always done, this is what we do and we do it well. I will be posting the pictures of the New Mobile Home sometime this week and there will be a walk thru video also, so keep an eye out for them to show up on the home page of the site sometime soon.
I hope you all got some rain for your lawns from last nights rainfall and that your health and your families health are in good shape and many of you still have jobs.
Be safe
We will see ya
When we see ya
