Has anybody fished the Vermillion River in Dakota County? I read that people catch big browns there but never actuallty havve met someone who has fished it.

I have, years ago (possibly 12 or 13 now) out of Farmington, and yes, there are large Browns in there.

Thanks Willy, do you have any tips for fishing it? I usually drift fish bait when I fish streams, but I wonder whether that would work well on the Vermillion?

When I fished it, I used a short spinning rod with small, chartreuse Rapalas.

From my experience, Start in Farmington, and head up stream for the big browns. All I catch in town is edible rainbows and carp.
