The past week brought great numbers of keeper fish and some trophies as well. The charter boats continue to head north around Garden Island and also to the deeper water near Zipple Bay. Down rigging the Garden Island area continues to give up incredible numbers of 14” to 20” walleye, with an occasional big fish mixed in. Farther south around Zipple Bay there seems to be less numbers of fish, but more slot fish and trophy fish. These fish are best to target with a jig and a leech or minnow. The big fish of the week was a 32” 12 pound walleye which came in this afternoon.

Looks like another week of mild weather. The weatherman is calling for stable temperatures in the 70s most of the week.

The hunt club will be opening soon. Discounted fall “Fins & Feathers” packages begin September 1st.
