I forgot to bring this up last week.  When I went to change out the sd card in my moultrie I40 I noticed an ant crawling on the outside.  No big deal right? Wrong!!  I got lucky the ants were just starting to invade the inside of my cam.  There was only a little bit of dried grass in the battery compartment and hundreds of ants.  Little b!@#$  bit me a few times.  I didn't take any pictures to show because I was a bit worried that the cam might be fried.  I took the cam apart and got all of the grass and ants out of the inside.  After putting it back together I crossed my fingers and it seemed to work just fine.  Put the cam back out on the same tree but added a whole bunch of liquid ant killer on the outside of the cam and bear box, also doused a ring above and below the cam.  Hopefully this deters the little buggers.  The tree is a very healthy oak with no rotting that I could see.

Leave any residue from your hands, fingers, gloves when you last hung it up?  They like left over Coke when spilled from a Windsor and Coke!!!!!   :toast:    :drinking:
Take a kid hunting and fishing... It'll be the best thing for generations to come.

Yikes.  No good.  The ant killer could actually backfire though as it will attract the ants to the camera and it usually takes days for the ants to die (if it's the Terro stuff I use on ants at home).  Good luck!
